Our neighbors up in St. Pete at Preserve the ‘Burg recently partnered with PlaceEconomics, a private firm that specializes in data-driven studies of the economics of historic preservation. The resulting study, Keeping the Vibe Alive, presents a detailed vision of the integral role that historic preservation plays in the economic engine of the city. While Sarasota is in some ways a very different place, the findings of this research can easily be understood in the context of our City.
