PRESENTED AT THE AWARDS CEREMONY 

held on April 30th, 2022 

at the Sarasota Garden Club

Thank you to all who contributed to the success of the 2022 Awards Lunch which honored this year's recipients. We had a tremendous, near capacity turnout at the Sarasota Garden Club on April 30th, where  we enjoyed a lunch catered by Sarasota Catering Company.

The Master of Ceremony was Dr. Frank Cassell, the Chair of the History and  Preservation Coalition of Sarasota County. The Awards were presented by Erin DiFazio, President of the Sarasota Alliance for Historic Preservation and Lorrie Muldowney, Immediate Past President and Vice President of the SAHP.

Special recognition was also given to Sam and Ben Hall, the sons of Greg and Eleana Najmy Hall, for whom the Historic Structure Awards were named, and who restored the Umbrella House, the historic home owned by Robert and Anne Essner, one of this year's award recipients.  These fine young men and their family received John Pirman prints of the Umbrella House.
